Evolution · Live dealerPhysical single-zero wheel
Evolution French Roulette
Evolution French Roulette is a live dealer, physical-wheel version of the French game. The wheel has 37 pockets — 0 and 1–36 — and La Partage applies to Rouge/Noir, Pair/Impair and Manque/Passe.
That rule gives those even-money bets a 98.65% theoretical return. Other standard bets remain at 97.30%.

This is not an RNG recreation of a roulette table. You are watching the same type of physical wheel used across Evolution’s live roulette line, with a dealer running the betting cycle and spin.
Half back on zero
La Partage at the Evolution Table
A normal £20 bet on black either wins £20 or loses £20. Zero creates the French exception: £10 comes back and £10 is lost.
The rule applies to:
- Rouge / Noir — red / black;
- Pair / Impair — even / odd;
- Manque / Passe — 1–18 / 19–36.
It does not cover straight-up numbers, splits, streets, corners, six lines, dozens or columns.

Coverage and return
Bets and Payouts
The French rules do not change a winning payout. They change how a losing zero is handled on those three outside-bet groups.
French betting layout
French Table and Racetrack Bets
The betting grid uses the French terms Rouge, Noir, Pair, Impair, Manque and Passe. Once you know those six labels, the outside layout stops feeling foreign pretty quickly.
The racetrack mirrors the order of numbers around the wheel and lets you place common announced bets in one action.
Voisins du Zéro covers the 17-number section surrounding zero.
Tiers du Cylindre covers 12 numbers on the opposite side of the wheel.
Orphelins fills the two wheel sections left outside Voisins and Tiers.
Jeu Zéro concentrates on the seven numbers closest to zero.
These are combinations of ordinary roulette bets. They do not create a separate RTP or special payout table.

Live round controls
Live Table Features
Evolution’s interface is built around a timed live round. During the betting window you can select chip values, place or remove bets and reuse previous layouts. Once betting closes, the dealer completes the spin and the result feeds back into the table history.
Typical controls include:
- rebet and double;
- previous results;
- hot and cold number history;
- racetrack betting;
- chip-value selector;
- desktop and mobile layouts;
- dealer chat where the casino enables it.
Statistics can make patterns look dramatic. They do not alter the probability of the next physical spin.
Operator availability
Evolution French Roulette Casinos
Evolution French Roulette is not available in every Evolution casino lobby. Access changes with country, operator and local game approval.
A casino can carry Evolution without carrying French Roulette.
Evolution live and automatic French Roulette products have different casino availability.
Gold presentation

French Roulette Gold
French Roulette Gold uses the same core Evolution French rules: live dealer, physical single-zero wheel and La Partage. The main distinction is the table presentation and where the Gold-branded table is distributed.
| Feature | French Roulette | French Roulette Gold |
|---|---|---|
| Provider | Evolution | Evolution |
| Format | Live dealer | Live dealer |
| Physical wheel | Yes | Yes |
| Single zero | Yes | Yes |
| La Partage | Yes | Yes |
| Main difference | Standard presentation | Gold-branded presentation and lobby placement |
Gold branding does not change the payouts; limits still depend on the specific table.
The dealer difference
Evolution French Roulette vs Auto French Roulette

Both products use a real wheel. The dealer is the dividing line.
| Feature | Evolution French Roulette | Auto French Roulette |
|---|---|---|
| Result | Physical wheel | Automated physical wheel |
| Dealer | Yes | No |
| Pace | Dealer-paced | Fixed automated cycle |
| Dealer chat | Available on live table | No dealer |
| La Partage | Yes | Yes on French versions |
| Free demo | No | No |
Auto French Roulette is automated physical-wheel roulette rather than RNG roulette. You still watch a real wheel; the spin just does not depend on a dealer.
French vs European
Evolution French Roulette vs European Roulette
The wheel is essentially the same; La Partage changes what happens to even-money bets when zero lands.
A £10 European Roulette bet on red loses £10 when zero lands. The same £10 even-money bet at the French table loses £5.
If you mostly bet straight-up numbers, splits or dozens, that mathematical distinction disappears because those wagers do not get La Partage protection.
Free-play alternative
Can You Play Evolution French Roulette for Free?
There is no public free-play version of the live table. Access requires an active casino table and streamed betting session.
For free French Roulette, an RNG game is simpler. La Partage Roulette de Lux has on-demand spins with virtual credits and the same half-return rule on qualifying even-money bets.
