Pragmatic Play · Live dealerShared and private tables
Pragmatic Play French Roulette
Pragmatic Play French Roulette is a live dealer game with a physical single-zero wheel and La Partage. The standard table is shared by multiple players, uses a French betting layout and supports favourite custom bets.
Pragmatic Play also has a very different branch of the same idea: Privé Lounge Roulette and Privé Lounge Roulette Deluxe, private one-player live tables with player-controlled spin prompts.

The standard French Roulette table is a conventional shared live game. It is not a multiplier roulette product and it does not replace the 35:1 straight-up payout with a custom paytable.
Zero settlement
La Partage in Pragmatic Play French Roulette
La Partage covers the three 1:1 outside-bet groups:
- red / black;
- odd / even;
- 1–18 / 19–36.
When zero lands, half of the qualifying stake comes back.
- Zero result
- Half returned

- 98.65%
- House edge
- 1.35%
- Zero result
- Full stake lost
- RTP
- 97.30%
- House edge
- 2.70%
A €10 wager on red therefore returns €5 on zero. A €10 dozen bet gets no such treatment.
French table controls
Bets and French Table Features
The table uses the French outside labels Rouge, Noir, Pair, Impair, Manque and Passe alongside the standard inside number grid.
You can still make the normal roulette bets:
- straight-up;
- split;
- street;
- corner;
- six line;
- dozen;
- column;
- red/black;
- odd/even;
- low/high.
Traditional wheel-section bets are also part of the French format.
One practical Pragmatic Play feature is favourite custom bets. Instead of rebuilding a repeated combination every round, you can save a betting pattern and bring it back quickly.
Live video and mobile
Live Video and Mobile Layout
The game streams a live dealer and physical wheel from Pragmatic Play’s live-casino setup.
On desktop, the video and betting grid can coexist without much compromise. On mobile, the table becomes the dominant interactive element and the video is compressed or expanded as needed.
No separate Pragmatic Play consumer app is required. Access comes through the casino that carries the table.

Shared vs private
French Roulette vs Privé Lounge Roulette
Pragmatic Play’s Privé Lounge games are not just renamed VIP limits. They change the table from shared live roulette into a one-player session.
Privé Lounge changes a shared table into a one-player live session with direct control over spin timing, options to request another dealer or ball and the ability to extend the dealer session.
Privé Lounge Roulette
Only one player joins the table.
The player can:
- ask for a new dealer;
- request a different ball;
- extend the dealer session;
- prompt the dealer when to spin.
The wheel is still physical and the dealer is still live. The unusual part is who controls the pace.
La Partage remains part of the rule set.
Privé Lounge Roulette Deluxe
Deluxe keeps the one-player structure and adds cinematic slow-motion replays of each result.
Slow-motion replay changes only the presentation; the private session controls are what change how the table plays.
Provider comparison
Pragmatic Play vs Evolution vs Playtech French Roulette
On equivalent La Partage bets, the maths are the same. Pragmatic Play stands out for Privé Lounge, Evolution for its automatic tables and Playtech for its studio and table variants.
Dealer-led or automatic
Pragmatic Play French Roulette vs Auto French Roulette
Pragmatic Play French Roulette is dealer-led. Evolution Auto French Roulette is dealer-free.
Both use physical wheels and can apply La Partage, but the pace is very different. The Pragmatic table follows the live dealer. Evolution Auto follows an automated countdown.
Privé Lounge keeps the live dealer but removes shared-table pacing.
Can You Play Pragmatic Play French Roulette for Free?
The Pragmatic Play live table is not available as a public free-play version.
Free French Roulette is more common in RNG titles such as La Partage Roulette de Lux. The physical wheel and dealer disappear, but the single-zero layout and La Partage settlement remain.
